Logan B., Camper 2026

Hi everyone,
My name is Logan B. and I’m 10 years old. I want to tell you about one of my favorite places in the whole world — Camp Rockfish!
I’ve been going to Camp Rockfish since I was in kindergarten when I was only 5 years old. At first I
just went to After School Adventure, and now I also go to All Day Adventure in the summer.
That means I’ve spent a LOT of time at camp… and I’m pretty sure I’ve left a few things there too…
especially a couple pairs of Crocs in the mud walk.
(Seriously… if anyone finds some Crocs buried in the mud, they might be mine.)
One of the things I love most about camp is all the fun activities. We get to do crafts, play music,
and do carnival games. Sometimes the crafts get a little messy… but that’s part of the fun. I’m pretty
sure glitter at Camp Rockfish never actually goes away. My favorite activities are fishing, archery,
and shelter building. Fishing is fun because sometimes you catch a fish… and sometimes you just
feed the fish your bait. Archery is awesome because it makes me feel like a superhero or Robin Hood.
And then there’s the swimming. We swim in the lake and the pool, which is great in the summer when it’s really hot. But the mud walk might be the most fun even though it’s
also the most dangerous place for Crocs. One of my favorite places to explore is Big Pines. There are so many cool places to climb and explore there.
Another really cool place at camp is Big Bertha, the oldest tree at Camp Rockfish. When you stand next to it, you realize how big and amazing nature is. It’s like the tree has been watching campers have fun for hundreds of years. I also love the Open House days because you get to try everything camp has to offer. It’s fun showing my family around and saying, “Hey! This is where we do this!” or “This is where I lost my Crocs!”
Some of the best memories are going to day camp with my cousins. It makes camp even more fun when you get to share it with family. But one of the most special parts of Camp Rockfish is the people. Every summer I make new friends, and every year there are awesome counselors who help us learn and have fun.
Camp Rockfish isn’t just about fun though. It’s also about learning about God and growing up with
good values. At camp we learn how to be kind, help others, and appreciate the world God created.
I feel really lucky that I’ve been able to grow up as a Camp Rockfish kid. From fishing and archery
to mud walks and Big Pines adventures, Camp Rockfish has given me so many memories.
I’ll never forget. And who knows… maybe one day I’ll even grow up to be a Camp Rockfish
counselor. But first…I should probably go find my Crocs!
